Beskrivelse: German naval officers, sailors and some soldiers wander through the streets of Ostend. A tram passes, pulling a line of freight carriages. At a tram stop a marching band leads a group of soldiers on board a tram, which drives off with the sailors left behind waving goodbye. A tram with Red Cross markings passes. Sailors play in the sea and sand on the beach. (According to the subtitles in the shotsheet the British propaganda point was that the Germans were busy searching for the British Fleet - in Ostend.) A mixed group of sailors and marines beside a war memorial (perhaps the Dutch-Belgian War of 1831) near the sea front. Back on the beach the sailors continue with their games.
British propaganda film made from German actuality material of sailors and marines relaxing in Ostend, First World War.
